Project

Before beginning your project you must submit a copy of the signed project registration form, the patent form and the copyright form.

The Guide to Projects tells you everything you need to know on projects. For example:

• Conditions on external projects.
• What you need to do each semester.
• How to write your thesis.
• How you will be assessed.

It is downloaded here. Please note that several changes have been made to project, including assessment for 2012 onwards.

• Guide to Projects

• The first is a documentation sheet that summarises the key information about your project. This must be placed as the second page of your thesis. Further, an extra copy must be supplied when you submit your thesis.

• The second is a sheet with Department's logo on it. You are to use this as the first sheet of your thesis and it is to have your thesis title, your name and the degree in which you are enrolled in that order. Again, a separate copy of this is to be handed in when you submit your thesis.

Thesis Binding

Above are a list of companies with their location and phone number that provide binding facilities for thesis. Please note that the colour for an Engineering Thesis is black.
The format the binders should use is defined here.
If you are unsure of what is needed in your thesis cover, please consult your supervisor. complete an authorisation form and have it signed by the Projects Coordinator Download or the binder will not accept your order.
